Install 4Later and breathe easier
4Later helps you find forgotten pages, clean messy tabs, save useful links, and block distracting websites. Create an account to connect this browser while your history, tabs, blocking rules, and unselected bookmarks stay in Chrome. Optional Pro sync encrypts selected bookmark titles and URLs before upload.
Three standard Chrome install steps
- Open the official 4Later Chrome Web Store listing.
- Click Add to Chrome and approve the browser permissions.
- Pin or open 4Later, then choose History, Tabs, Bookmarks, Blocking, or Pomodoro.
- Return to Account if you want to connect the installed extension to your account.
Why 4Later requests these Chrome permissions
- History: search, preview, save useful pages, and delete only selected Chrome history entries.
- Tabs and tab groups: list open work, focus tabs, create groups, and restore saved snapshots.
- Bookmarks: save selected links, create folders, and keep notes or favorites attached to saved context.
- Declarative net request plus HTTP/HTTPS host access: apply blocking and focus rules across the sites you choose.
- Storage: keep local settings, blocking state, encrypted-sync keys, device credentials, mappings, and pending selected-bookmark changes available when the workspace is closed.
- Alarms: wake the extension at the end of a Pomodoro focus session so temporary blocking rules can clear.
- Favicon: show small site icons beside history, tab, and bookmark entries when Chrome provides them.
Deleting selected Chrome history entries does not remove Google account activity, synced history on other devices, website-side logs, cookies, cache, passwords, bookmarks, or search-engine records.
